Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) criticized Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito after a photo showed an upside-down American flag flying outside his home after the 2020 election. Alito said in a statement to the New York Times that his wife flew the upside-down flag upside in response “to a neighbor’s use of objectionable and personally insulting language on yard signs.” Some Trump supporters, who challenged the legitimacy of the 2020 election, have used the upside-down flag symbol as a symbol.
